Description
Omebloc 20 MG Capsule is used for reducing the acid content in the stomach. This drug treats duodenal or gastric ulcers, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), inflammation of the esophagus and conditions wherein the stomach secretes excess acid.
Used in combination with other drugs to treat stomach infections caused by bacteria H. pylori.
For the prevention of ulcer in patients who need to take NSAIDs/ nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Typical Dosage
The typical adult dose of Omebloc is 20-40 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks. The typical dose for children is 5-20 mg once daily (for inflammation of the food pipe (erosive esophagitis) and acid reflux (gastroesophageal reflux disease). This medicine is commonly used for a period of 8 weeks for ulcers in the upper part of the small intestine (duodenal ulcer), 8 weeks for stomach ulcers, and 4 weeks for digestive disorder in which stomach acid flows back into the food pipe (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It takes 1-2 hours for this medicine to start its action. There are no known habit-forming tendencies with this medicine.
Storage
Store Omebloc Capsule Store Omebloc delayed-release capsules between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Store Omebloc delayed-release oral suspension at 25°C (77°F), permitted to 15–30°C (59–86°F), away from moisture, and away from light. Keep this medicine away from children and pets.
Side-effects
