Mefenamic capsule contains mefenamic acid which is a Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID). used to relieve inflammation, pain, and discomfort. They are effective for conditions such as arthritis, muscle or rheumatic disorders, headaches, toothaches, post-operative pain, childbirth pain, fever in children, and painful or heavy periods.

Like all medications, Mefenamic Capsules can cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them.

Adults
The recommended dose is 2 capsules three times a day.
Elderly patients (over 65 years)
Elderly patients are at a higher risk of side effects and should take the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time, with additional monitoring carried out by their doctor.
Children
It is recommended that children under 12 years of age should be given Mefenamic Acid Suspension (50mg / 5ml).
