Indications / Uses

ALAXAN Ibuprofen / Paracetamol is used for the prompt relief of mild to moderately severe pain of musculoskeletal origin, which includes common ailments such as muscle pain, arthritis, rheumatism, sprain, and tendonitis. This combination product is also highly effective for reducing fever and for relieving other types of pain, including tension headache, painful menstruation, and discomfort following dental procedures or minor operations. It works quickly to stop pain and inflammation at the source.

Side Effects

ALAXAN Ibuprofen / Paracetamol common side effects include various gastrointestinal issues such as stomach discomfort, bloating, nausea, and vomiting. Other general adverse effects may be experienced, including feelings of fatigue, headache, dizziness, and restlessness. While rare, more serious adverse events like severe allergic reactions or potentially life-threatening skin conditions have been reported and require immediate attention.

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults and Adolescents (12 years and older): 1 tablet every 6 hours as needed.

The maximum daily dosage is generally 4 tablets in 24 hours. Do not use for pain relief for more than 10 consecutive days or for fever reduction for more than 3 consecutive days.

Contraindications

Do not use if there is a known sensitivity to its components or to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, including aspirin. Contraindicated in individuals who experience asthmatic attacks, severe swelling of the face or throat, or hives after taking similar medications. Use is also restricted for patients with severe heart failure, advanced kidney or liver disease, peptic ulcers, or a history of Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

The product is contraindicated in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Caution must be exercised during the first 6 months of pregnancy and throughout the period of lactation.

Special Precautions

• Individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease should use with caution.
• Use the lowest effective amount for the shortest duration possible, especially for the elderly.
• Monitor closely if you have a history of cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular issues, or high blood pressure.
• Limit or abstain from consuming alcohol during use to minimize liver risks.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Caution is advised when taken with other products that may increase the risk of gastrointestinal toxicity or bleeding, such as certain blood thinners. Do not take this product if you are concurrently using other medications that contain the same components.

How should I store it?

The product should be stored in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep it away from high heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
