This medication is also indicated for the relief of spasmodic pain in the biliary tract and for treating menstrual cramps or dysmenorrhea in women.

Side Effects
BUSCOPAN Hyoscine N-Butylbromide 10mg common side effects include: dry mouth, skin reactions such as hives or itching, and increased heart rate (tachycardia). Some individuals may experience dishidrosis or difficulty in urination. These effects are typically mild and transient. While rare, severe allergic reactions or anaphylactic shock may occur in sensitive individuals.
Directions and Dosage
- Adults (18+ years) and Adolescents: 1 to 2 tablets, 3 to 5 times daily. Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.
- Kids 6–12 years: 1 tablet daily, 3 times daily. Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours.
Not recommended for children under 6 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless directed otherwise.
Contraindications
Myasthenia gravis, megacolon, and narrow-angle glaucoma. It should not be used in cases of mechanical stenosis in the gastrointestinal tract or urinary retention due to prostate issues.
Special Precautions
- Caution is advised for those prone to narrow-angle glaucoma or intestinal/urinary outlet obstructions.
- Monitor usage in patients with rapid heart rates or cardiovascular complications.
- Discontinue use if severe abdominal pain or fever develops during treatment.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Anticholinergic effects may be intensified when used with antidepressants, antihistamines, or quinidine. Concurrent use with dopamine antagonists like metoclopramide may reduce the effectiveness of both medications.

Store in a dry place at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep the tablets in their original packaging to protect from light and moisture.
