Description

Indications/Uses

Indicated in adults and children from 2 years of age for the treatment of acute and chronic inflammations of the paranasal sinuses.
 

Dosage/Direction for Use

See table.



Method of administration: Take 3 x daily (morning, midday, evening). If desired, may be taken together with some liquid (no alcohol) preferably a glass of water. Patients with a sensitive stomach are advised to take Sinupret for Kids after meals.
Shake well before each use.
Duration of administration: Unless otherwise prescribed, the duration of administration is 7-14 days. Please note the information under Precautions.
 

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients of the medicinal product.
 

Special Precautions

If the symptoms persist longer than 7-14 days or recur periodically, a doctor should be consulted.
This medicinal product contains 8 vol % alcohol, i.e. 0.44 g alcohol per 7.0 mL, equivalent to 11 mL beer or 4 mL wine. Alcohol could be harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. This should be taken into account in pregnant or breast-feeding women, children taking higher doses than recommended and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take this medicine.
7.0 mL Sinupret for Kids contain 5.5 g maltitol solution corresponding to approximately 0.35 bread units (BU). This must be taken into consideration in patients with diabetes mellitus. The calorific value is 2.3 kcal/g maltitol. Maltitol may have a mild laxative effect.
Children: The use in children under 2 years of age is not recommended because of lack of sufficient data.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines: No special precautions are necessary.
 

Use In Pregnancy & Lactation

Like all medicinal products administration during pregnancy and lactation only after strict risk-benefit evaluation by the attending physician.
 

Adverse Reactions

GI disorders (eg, stomach ache, nausea); hypersensitivity reactions of the skin (eg, exanthema, erythema, pruritus). Angioedema, dyspnoea, face oedema.
 

Storage

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C.
The shelf life after first opening is 6 months.
Do not store above 25 °C after first opening.
Slight flocculation or turbidity may occur during storage.
