Indications / Uses

MUCULER Chlorpheniramine / Phenylpropanolamine / Guaifenesin Syrup is used for relieving symptoms of common cold, allergic rhinitis, and upper respiratory infections. It helps alleviate nasal congestion, reduce coughing, and loosen mucus for easier expulsion. This combination medication addresses sneezing, runny nose, and sinus pressure associated with seasonal allergies and respiratory tract inflammation.

MUCULER Chlorpheniramine / Phenylpropanolamine / Guaifenesin Syrup contains: Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2mg/5ml + Phenylpropanolamine Hydrochloride 12.5mg/5ml + Guaifenesin 50mg/5ml

Side Effects

MUCULER Chlorpheniramine / Phenylpropanolamine / Guaifenesin Syrup common side effects include: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, and mild stomach discomfort. Some individuals may experience nervousness, restlessness, or difficulty sleeping. Less frequently reported reactions include headache, nausea, or increased heart rate.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and adolescents (12+ years): 10ml every 4-6 hours. Maximum: 40ml in 24 hours.
• Children (6-11 years): 5ml every 4-6 hours. Maximum: 20ml in 24 hours.
• Children (2-5 years): 2.5ml every 4-6 hours. Maximum: 10ml in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless otherwise directed.

Contraindications

Avoid if hypersensitive to any component. Contraindicated in severe hypertension, coronary artery disease, or during MAOI therapy. Not for use in narrow-angle glaucoma or severe urinary retention.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Generally avoided due to potential fetal risks from decongestant components. May reduce milk production. Not recommended during breastfeeding due to infant exposure risk.

Special Precautions

• Use cautiously in asthma, glaucoma, or enlarged prostate
• May cause drowsiness - avoid driving or operating machinery
• Monitor blood pressure in hypertensive patients

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May interact with sedatives, MAO inhibitors, or blood pressure medications. Avoid combining with other cough/cold products containing similar ingredients. Always disclose current medications before use.

How should I store it?

Store upright at 20°-25°C (68°-77°F). Keep bottle tightly closed. Protect from light and excessive heat. Discard 6 months after opening.
