Indications / Uses

MUCOTUSS FORTE is used for relieving symptoms of cough, cold, and congestion. It effectively manages nasal congestion, reduces fever, thins mucus for easier expectoration, and alleviates allergic symptoms like sneezing or runny nose.

Formulation / Ingredients
MUCOTUSS FORTE contains: Paracetamol 325mg + Guaifenesin 50mg + Phenylpropanolamine 12.5mg + Dextromethorphan 10mg + Chlorphenamine 1mg.

Side Effects

MUCOTUSS FORTE common side effects include: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, or nervousness. Less frequently, users may experience headache, increased heart rate, or mild stomach discomfort. Discontinue use and seek medical advice if severe reactions like breathing difficulties or rash occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18+ years): 1 capsule every 6 hours as needed. Maximum: 4 capsules in 24 hours.
• Adolescents (12–17 years): 1 capsule every 8 hours. Maximum: 3 capsules in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 12 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless directed otherwise. Do not exceed stated dosage.

Contraindications

Avoid with severe hypertension, heart disease, thyroid disorders, or monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) use. Do not use in patients with glaucoma, urinary retention, or hypersensitivity to any component.

Special Precautions

• Avoid alcohol or sedatives due to enhanced drowsiness
• Use caution in patients with diabetes, liver impairment, or benign prostatic hyperplasia
• Monitor for dizziness and avoid driving/operating machinery
