MUCOSOLVAN KIDS Ambroxol 15mg / 5mL is used for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract associated with abnormal bronchial secretions and impaired mucus transport. This mucolytic agent is specifically formulated to help clear the airways by thinning sticky phlegm and easing its expulsion. It effectively addresses symptoms of respiratory conditions where excessive mucus production hinders breathing comfort and recovery in pediatric patients.

Side Effects

MUCOSOLVAN KIDS Ambroxol 15mg / 5mL common side effects include: mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, or indigestion. Some patients may experience taste disturbances or a dry mouth and throat. While uncommon, hypersensitivity reactions like rashes or swelling may occur. Most side effects are temporary and subside as the body adjusts to the medication.

Directions and Dosage

• Kids 6–12 years: 5 mL (1 teaspoon) 2–3 times daily.
• Kids 2–5 years: 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) 3 times daily.
• Kids 1–2 years: 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) 2 times daily.
• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 10 mL (2 teaspoons) 3 times daily for the first 2–3 days, then 10 mL twice daily.

Should be taken after meals. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless specified. For infants under 1 year, consult a healthcare provider for appropriate use.

Contraindications

Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active component or any other ingredients in the syrup. It is contraindicated in cases of rare hereditary conditions that may be incompatible with an excipient of the product.

Special Precautions

• Use with caution if there is impaired renal function or severe hepatopathy.
• Monitor for severe skin reactions; stop use if new skin or mucosal lesions appear.
• Be aware of potential gastric ulceration history before starting treatment.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Administration with antibiotics results in higher antibiotic concentrations in the lung tissue. Do not combine with antitussive agents that suppress the cough reflex, as this can lead to a dangerous accumulation of liquefied mucus.

How should I store it?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat. Keep the temperature below 30°C and ensure the bottle is tightly capped.
