It helps liquefy bronchial secretions, reduces phlegm viscosity, and eases expectoration in productive coughs. This mucolytic agent provides symptomatic relief in acute and chronic airway disorders across pediatric and adult populations.

Directions and Dosage

• Children 2–5 years: 2.5mL (125mg) 3 times daily
• Children 5–12 years: 5mL (250mg) 3 times daily
• Adults and adolescents 12+ years: 15mL (750mg) 3 times daily initially, reduced to 10mL (500mg) 3 times daily after improvement

Maximum daily dose: 45mL (2250mg) for children under 12; 75mL (3750mg) for adults. Not recommended for children below 2 years. Treatment duration typically 8–10 days unless otherwise directed .

Contraindications
