CARBOSAPH-125 Carbocisteine Syrup for Kids is used for reducing mucus viscosity in respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma, and sinusitis. It helps alleviate cough by facilitating expectoration in children with excessive or sticky phlegm production.

CARBOSAPH-125 Carbocisteine Syrup for Kids contains: Carbocisteine 125mg per 5mL + sucrose + flavoring agents.

Side Effects

CARBOSAPH-125 Carbocisteine Syrup for Kids common side effects include: gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, or abdominal pain. Rare reactions may include headache, dizziness, or mild skin rashes. Discontinue use if severe reactions like gastrointestinal bleeding occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Children 2–5 years: 5mL (125mg) 3 times daily
• Children 6–12 years: 10mL (250mg) 3 times daily

Maximum daily dose: 30mL (750mg) for children under 12. Not recommended for children below 2 years. Treatment duration should not exceed 8–10 days unless medically advised.

Contraindications

Do not use with active peptic ulcers or history of gastric hemorrhage. Avoid if hypersensitivity to mucolytics exists. Contraindicated in phenylketonuria due to aspartame content.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Not recommended during pregnancy. Excretion in breast milk may occur—avoid during lactation.

• Use cautiously in patients with history of gastritis or ulcer
• Monitor for gastrointestinal symptoms
