Zyrtec Cetirizine 10mg is used for relieving allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, itching eyes, and hives caused by seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis. It effectively manages chronic idiopathic urticaria (skin reactions) and reduces reactions to common allergens such as pollen, dust mites, and pet dander. This non-drowsy formula provides 24-hour relief from indoor and outdoor allergy triggers.

Side Effects

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 1 tablet (10mg) once daily. Do not exceed 10mg in 24 hours.
• Children (6-11 years): ½ tablet (5mg) once daily. Do not exceed 5mg in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Duration depends on symptom control but may be used long-term for chronic allergies.

Contraindications

Severe renal impairment or hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine. Avoid in patients with rare hereditary galactose intolerance.
