It helps manage seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria caused by allergens such as pollen or dust mites. This pediatric formulation provides effective symptom control for allergic reactions in young patients.

Side Effects

ZETRINX Cetirizine Syrup for Kids common side effects include: drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, and mild gastrointestinal discomfort like nausea. Directions and Dosage

• Children 6-12 months: 2.5mL (12.5mg) once daily. Maximum: 12.5mg in 24 hours.
• Children 1-5 years: 2.5mL (12.5mg) once or twice daily. Maximum: 25mg in 24 hours.
• Children 6-12 years: 5mL (25mg) once daily or 2.5mL (12.5mg) twice daily. Maximum: 25mg in 24 hours.

Not recommended for infants under 6 months. Duration depends on symptom control but may be used long-term for chronic allergies.

Contraindications

Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min) or hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine. Avoid in patients with rare hereditary galactose intolerance.
