Indications / Uses

Tracen Cetirizine 10mg is used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), perennial allergic rhinitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives). It effectively reduces symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, itching, and watery eyes. The formulation provides 24-hour relief from allergy symptoms with once-daily dosing.

Formulation / Ingredients
Tracen Cetirizine 10mg contains: Cetirizine Dihydrochloride 10mg + Microcrystalline Cellulose + Lactose Monohydrate + Colloidal Silicon Dioxide + Magnesium Stearate + Film Coating Agents.

Side Effects

Tracen Cetirizine 10mg common side effects include: mild drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, and headache. Less frequently, gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea or abdominal pain may occur. These effects are typically transient and resolve with continued use.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 1 tablet (10mg) once daily. Maximum: 10mg in 24 hours.
• Children (6-11 years): ½ tablet (5mg) once daily. Maximum: 5mg in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Duration depends on symptom control.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or any piperazine derivatives. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <10 mL/min).

Special Precautions

• Use cautiously in patients with pre-existing kidney impairment
• May cause drowsiness - avoid activities requiring alertness
• Contains lactose - caution in lactose-intolerant patients
