Indications / Uses

CETIREX-LD Cetirizine Drops for Baby is used for relieving allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes/nose, and skin hives. It effectively treats allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and conjunctivitis in infants and young children. This formulation provides rapid relief from seasonal and perennial allergy triggers.

Formulation / Ingredients
CETIREX-LD Cetirizine Drops for Baby contains: Cetirizine dihydrochloride 2.5 mg per mL + sorbitol solution + glycerol + grape flavoring.

Side Effects

CETIREX-LD Cetirizine Drops for Baby common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, and mild stomach discomfort. Less frequently, fatigue or agitation may occur. Serious reactions like breathing difficulties, severe skin rashes, or swelling require immediate medical attention.

Directions and Dosage

• Infants 6-12 months: 2.5 mg (1 mL) once daily. Maximum: 2.5 mg/24 hours.
• Children 1-2 years: 2.5 mg (1 mL) once or twice daily. Maximum: 5 mg/24 hours.
• Children 2-6 years: 2.5 mg (1 mL) twice daily or 5 mg (2 mL) once daily. Maximum: 5 mg/24 hours.

Administer using the provided dropper. Not recommended for infants under 6 months without medical supervision. Duration depends on symptom control.

Contraindications

Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min). Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or piperazine derivatives.
