Indications / Uses

Alnix Plus Syrup is used for relieving symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion. It combines an antihistamine with a decongestant to address both allergy-related inflammation and sinus pressure.

Formulation / Ingredients
Alnix Plus Syrup contains: Cetirizine 5mg + Phenylephrine 5mg per 5mL.

Side Effects

Alnix Plus Syrup common side effects include: drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, mild stomach discomfort, or temporary increases in heart rate. Rarely, restlessness or difficulty sleeping may occur due to the decongestant component.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults & adolescents (12+ years): 5–10mL once daily. Do not exceed 10mL in 24 hours.
• Children 6–11 years: 2.5–5mL once daily. Do not exceed 5mL in 24 hours.
• Children 2–5 years: 2.5mL once daily. Do not exceed 2.5mL in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless advised otherwise.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to components, severe kidney disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or heart conditions. Avoid with MAO inhibitor use within 14 days.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Not recommended during breastfeeding. Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed.

Special Precautions

• Avoid alcohol or sedatives to prevent enhanced drowsiness.
• Use with caution in mild kidney/liver impairment or glaucoma.
