Indications / Uses

Allecur Cetirizine 10mg is used for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children aged 6 years and above. It helps manage sneezing, runny or itchy nose, watery eyes, and skin rashes caused by allergies.

Side Effects

Allecur Cetirizine 10mg common side effects include: drowsiness, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, fatigue, and sometimes pharyngitis or cold-like symptoms in children. Allergic reactions, with possible swelling of the face or throat, are rare but may occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults & adolescents (≥12 years): 1 tablet (10mg) once daily. Do not exceed 1 tablet in 24 hours.
• Kids 6–12 years: ½ tablet (5mg) twice daily. Do not exceed 1 tablet in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 6 years. For those with kidney impairment, a lower dose or less frequent dosing may be necessary. Maximum treatment duration: as required for symptom relief.

Contraindications

Not recommended in cases of severe renal impairment or in those with a known hypersensitivity to antihistamines.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use only if clearly needed; medicine can pass into breast milk.

Special Precautions

• Increased caution in epilepsy or risk of convulsions.
• Monitor urinary symptoms in those with bladder outlet issues.
• Caution in hepatic or renal impairment.
• Elderly and children may be more sensitive to side effects.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

CNS sedative effects may be increased if taken with alcohol or other sedatives. Always inform about concurrent medications.

How should I store it?

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
