Indications / Uses

Allecur Cetirizine 10mg is used for the relief of symptoms related to allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, itchy or runny nose, and chronic idiopathic urticaria such as skin rashes and itching. It helps reduce allergy symptoms in both adults and children aged 6 years and older.

Side Effects

Allecur Cetirizine 10mg common side effects include: drowsiness, headache, dizziness, fatigue, abdominal pain, dry mouth, nausea, and occasional diarrhea. Most side effects are mild and may diminish with continued use.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18+ years): 1 tablet (10mg) once daily. Do not exceed 1 tablet in 24 hours.
• Kids 6–12 years: 5mg twice daily (½ tablet twice per day).

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Duration of use: as needed during allergy periods. Dosage adjustment may be necessary for kidney impairment.

Contraindications

Do not use in cases of severe renal impairment or known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Safety for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established.

Special Precautions

• Use with caution in seizure disorders or risk of convulsions.
• Exercise caution in urinary retention or liver/kidney impairment.
• Heightened sensitivity to side effects may occur in elderly or children.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May enhance drowsiness if taken with other sedatives. Inform about all other medications or supplements being taken.
