Indications/Uses
It is primarily used as a pre-natal and post-natal supplement. Prevention and treatment of vitamin, folic acid and iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy, lactation and menstrual blood loss. It enhances body's resistance to diseases and stress reactions, and improves blood circulation.
Dosage/Direction for Use
One capsule is to be taken daily or as prescribed by the physician. Iron is best absorbed on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). This medication may be taken with food if stomach upset occurs.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Adverse Reactions
In some cases, gastrointestinal irritation and constipation may occur. May cause discoloration of feces.
Drug Interactions
Decreased absorption of Iron with tetracycline and some antacids.
Storage
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
