RAPCVIT Sodium Ascorbate is used for the prevention and effective treatment of Vitamin C deficiency in the body. It plays a vital role as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage caused by harmful free radicals. This compound is necessary for tissue growth and repair throughout the body, helping to hasten wound healing and supporting the formation of collagen, which is an essential protein for healthy skin, bones, teeth, and blood vessels.

RAPCVIT Sodium Ascorbate contains: Ascorbic Acid 500mg (equivalent to Sodium Ascorbate 562.5mg)

Side Effects

RAPCVIT Sodium Ascorbate common side effects include: gastrointestinal disturbances such such as stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, particularly when extremely high amounts are consumed. The daily use of doses greater than 2,000 mg may lead to the formation of oxalate stones in the kidneys. Other potential effects can include flushing of the face, headache, fatigue, and disturbed sleep.

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults: 1 capsule daily for regular maintenance.
• Increased resistance: 2 to 3 capsules daily may be taken for increased resistance against cold and flu.

Maximum daily dosage should not exceed 2,000 mg (or 4 capsules of 500mg strength).

Contraindications

Do not use this product if there is a known sensitivity or allergy to the components. Special care should be taken with individuals who have a history of kidney stones (hyperoxaluria) or a blood disorder known as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.

Special Precautions

• Care should be taken when using high amounts in individuals prone to recurrent kidney stones.
• Tolerance may be induced in individuals taking continuously high amounts.
• Very large doses may interfere with certain laboratory tests, such as tests for sugar in the urine or tests for blood in the stool.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

The compound may increase the absorption of elemental iron. High doses can alter the acidity of urine, which may affect the excretion rate and subsequent effectiveness of certain other medications. Concomitant use with aspirin may also affect the excretion rates of both products.

How should I store it?

Keep this product at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. The product must be protected from direct heat and sunlight to maintain its stability.
