Ascorbic Acid is used as a supplement to treat Vitamin C deficiency, especially in the condition known as Scurvy, a condition caused by severe vitamin C deficiency.
What are the side-effects of MYREVIT-C Ascorbic Acid 500mg Tablet?
While Ascorbic Acid tablets are generally well-tolerated when taken as directed, some side effects can occur. High doses may cause diarrhea or increase urination frequency.
If you experience these or any unexpected effects, discontinue taking the tablets and consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Dosage / Direction for Use of MYREVIT-C Ascorbic Acid 500mg Tablet
Adults, Elderly, and Children over 12 yrs old
Take one 500mg to five tablets daily, in divided doses, preferably with food.
Children aged 4-12yrs old
Take half to two and a half tablets daily, preferably with food.
It is important not to exceed the recommended dose.
For elderly individuals
It's especially important to follow your doctor's exact instructions regarding Ascorbic Acid dosage.

Is it safe to take Ascorbic Acid 500mg Tablet with other drugs?
Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines including any medicines you have bought yourself, particularly any of the following:
- An iron preparation called Desferrioxamine (used to treat excessive absorption and storage of iron and some blood abnormalities) as taking this at the same time as ascorbic acid may increase the risk of cardiovascular effects.

- Amphetamines
- Amygdalin (Vitamin B17) as can cause cyanide toxicity.
