These effects are usually temporary and are more often associated with higher supplemental amounts. Other side effects reported with large amounts of the components are fatigue, flushing, and issues with sleep like insomnia or sleepiness. The potential for these effects increases when the daily intake exceeds the recommended levels.

Directions and Dosage

For routine daily nutritional supplementation, the following amounts are generally recommended once a day:

• Dosage for Kids 1 - 3 years old: 2.5 mL (½ teaspoonful) daily.
• Dosage for Kids 4 - 8 years old: 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) daily.
• Dosage for Kids 9 - 13 years old: 5 to 10 mL (1 to 2 teaspoonfuls) daily.
