Dosage/Direction for Use
Adults and Children >12 years: 1 capsule daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Best taken after breakfast.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Vitagin.
Combination therapy with aldosterone antagonist and triamterene may cause hypercalcemia.
Patients with hypercalcemia, hyperkalemia, sarcoidosis, nephrolithiasis, severe renal failure, Wilson's disease, hematochromatosis and those taking oral tetracyclines, antacids, phosphates and levodopa.
Infants <1 year.
Do not administer before and after drinking teas containing tannins.

Special Precautions
Consult a doctor before administering Vitagin to the following patients: Patients undergoing therapy; with hyperoxaluria, renal disorder, hypoproteinosis, cardiovascular dysfunction and circulatory failure; gastrointestinal disease (eg, peptic ulcer, chronic ulcerative and regional colitis); concomitantly taking cardiac glycoside.
Do not take >2 capsules of Vitagin and retinol >5000 IU a day as supplement.
Discuss with a doctor if Vitagin is having too little effect in 1 month.
Use in pregnancy: Administration of vitamin A (retinol) >5000 IU may cause congenital abnormality.
Use in children: Administration of Vitagin to children <6 years may cause toxicity.

Adverse Reactions
Discontinue administration of Vitagin and consult a doctor if the following symptoms occur: Pruritus, eruption, flare, erythema, xeroderma, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, epigastric distress, anorexia, abdominal distention, epigastralgia, photosensitivity, convulsion, fever, coma, asystole, CNS dysfunction, hyperkalemia, pulmonary edema and urticaria.
May cause acceleration of menstruation and menorrhagic extension of anovulatory menstrual cycle; thrombosis or thrombotic predisposition in patients concomitantly taking oral contraceptives; nausea, vomiting, hypernatremia, congestive heart failure and edema when administered at high doses; hypercalcemia and nephrolithiasis on long-term use.
