Indications/Uses
Multivitamins with Lysine, Zinc and Taurine (Ener A plus) is especially formulated to maintain and support requirements for rapid growth in children during illness and other conditions where increased need for vitamins is present. It also stimulates appetite in growing children.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Syrup: Children: 1-3 years: 2.5 mL.
3 years above: 5.0 mL.
For deficiency states: Recommended dosage is 10 to 15 mL within 3 to 8 months, or as prescribed by the physician.

Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals for better absorption or if GI discomfort occurs.

Action
Lysine: An essential amino acid, which is a precursor of glutamate in the central nervous system. Glutamate is particularly important for a HEALTHY MENTAL DEVELOPMENT. It also helps in the BONE DEVELOPMENT and STIMULATES APPETITE of children when combined with necessary vitamins. In children, lysine is the amino acid most often reported to be inadequately supplied. The lysine contained in Ener A plus can substitute the lysine deficiency due to malnutrition.
Vitamin A & D: This combination of vitamins is essential for growth, BONE DEVELOPMENT, treatment of skin disorders and for vision.
Vitamin B-complex: These vitamins are necessary for the conversion of dietary protein into utilizable energy, important for growth and for strengthening of the immune system.
Taurine: An essential amino acid necessary to promote growth, maintain serum levels of albumin and allow the positive vitamin balance equal to that of normal breastfed infants. It also enhances mental development and alertness.
Zinc: It promotes normal growth or development. It helps maintain an effective immune system thereby decreasing the infant's susceptibility to infection.
