Indications
Calcium Carbonate is used as a Calcium supplement in deficiency states. It is also used as an antacid and phospate binder in patients with renal failure.
Dosage
One to two tablet daily or as prescribed by physician.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with Calcium renal calculi or history of renal calculi, hypercalcemia, hypophospatemia, and to those suspected with digoxin toxicity.
Special Precautions
Patient with achlorhydria, hypoparathyroid disease; history of kidney stones. Renal impairment. Pregnancy and lactation.
Storage
Store between 15-30°C.
