Indication
Used as calcium supplement for pregnant and lactating women. It is also used as calcium supplement for the proper development of bones and teeth for growing children.
Prevents osteoporosis.
Dosage
Dietary supplement
Adult: 300-600 mg (as elemental Ca) daily in divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Conditions associated with hypercalcaemia and hypercalciuria.
Special Precautions
Patient with sarcoidosis, history of nephrolithiasis. Renal impairment. Pregnancy.
