Indications / Uses

VONWELT Salbutamol 4mg is used for relieving bronchospasm in respiratory conditions like asthma, chronic bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This fast-acting tablet works by relaxing airway muscles to improve breathing during acute attacks and exercise-induced symptoms. It helps manage reversible airway obstruction for rapid symptom relief in adults and adolescents.

Side Effects

VONWELT Salbutamol 4mg common side effects include: tremors, headache, tachycardia, and muscle cramps. Less frequently, nervousness, dizziness, or palpitations may occur. Discontinue use if severe reactions like chest pain or paradoxical bronchospasm develop.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 1 tablet every 6-8 hours. Maximum: 4 tablets (16mg) in 24 hours.
• Children (6-11 years): ½ tablet (2mg) every 6-8 hours. Maximum: 2 tablets (8mg) in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Maximum treatment duration without medical supervision: 3 days for acute symptoms.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or related bronchodilators. Avoid with uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, severe cardiac arrhythmias, or tachycardia.

Special Precautions

• Monitor for worsening respiratory symptoms or paradoxical bronchospasm
• Use cautiously with pre-existing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or epilepsy

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Avoid concurrent use with non-selective beta-blockers. Monitor for increased side effects with other sympathomimetics or theophylline derivatives.
