Indications / Uses

VN2 Salbutamol Syrup is used for relieving bronchospasm in respiratory conditions like asthma, chronic bronchitis, and COPD. This cherry-vanilla flavored formulation helps ease breathing difficulties by relaxing airway muscles during acute attacks and exercise-induced symptoms. It provides rapid relief for wheezing and shortness of breath in pediatric and adult patients.

VN2 Salbutamol Syrup contains: Salbutamol Sulfate 2mg per 5mL.

Side Effects

VN2 Salbutamol Syrup common side effects include: tremors, headache, tachycardia, and muscle cramps. Less frequently, nervousness, dizziness, or gastrointestinal discomfort may occur. Discontinue use if severe reactions like chest pain or breathing difficulties develop.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 5-10mL (2-4mg) 3-4 times daily. Maximum: 40mL (16mg) in 24 hours.
• Children (6-11 years): 5mL (2mg) 3-4 times daily. Maximum: 20mL (8mg) in 24 hours.
• Children (2-5 years): 2.5-5mL (1-2mg) 3-4 times daily. Maximum: 20mL (8mg) in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical supervision. Maximum treatment duration without medical advice: 3-5 days for acute symptoms.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to beta₂-agonists or formulation components. Avoid with tachyarrhythmias, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, or severe cardiac conditions.

Special Precautions

• Monitor for paradoxical bronchospasm or worsening respiratory symptoms
• Use cautiously with pre-existing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or seizure disorders

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Avoid concurrent use with non-selective beta-blockers. Monitor for increased side effects with other sympathomimetics or xanthine derivatives.

How should I store it?

Store below 30°C in original container. Keep bottle tightly closed and protect from light. Discard 1 month after opening.
