Indications / Uses

VENTREX-G Salbutamol / Guaifenesin is used for relieving bronchospasm and reducing mucus viscosity in respiratory conditions like asthma, chronic bronchitis, and COPD. This combination helps ease breathing difficulties by opening airways and facilitating mucus clearance during acute respiratory episodes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders.

VENTREX-G Salbutamol / Guaifenesin contains: Salbutamol 2mg + Guaifenesin 100mg.

Side Effects

VENTREX-G Salbutamol / Guaifenesin common side effects include: tremors, headache, tachycardia, nausea, and dizziness. Less frequently, nervousness, muscle cramps, or gastrointestinal discomfort may occur. Discontinue use if severe reactions like chest pain or breathing difficulties develop.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 1 capsule every 6-8 hours. Maximum: 4 capsules in 24 hours.
• Children (6-11 years): Not recommended without medical supervision.

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Maximum treatment duration without medical advice: 3 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to sympathomimetics or expectorants. Avoid with uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, severe cardiac arrhythmias, or tachycardia.

Special Precautions

• Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disorders, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes.
• Avoid in cases of cough accompanied by excessive phlegm.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Concomitant use with beta-blockers may reduce effectiveness. Avoid with other stimulants due to increased risk of side effects.
