RESPOSAL-I Salbutamol / Ipratropium Nebule is used for managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma-related bronchospasm. It provides relief from airway obstruction in conditions like emphysema and chronic bronchitis. This combination helps improve breathing difficulties during acute respiratory flare-ups.

Formulation / Ingredients
RESPOSAL-I Salbutamol / Ipratropium Nebule contains: Salbutamol sulfate 2.5mg + Ipratropium bromide 500mcg per 5ml solution.

Side Effects

RESPOSAL-I Salbutamol / Ipratropium Nebule common side effects include: dry mouth, headache, tremors, and throat irritation. Less frequently, palpitations or blurred vision may occur. Serious reactions include paradoxical bronchospasm or urinary retention.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 5ml via nebulizer 3-4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 20ml (4 nebules).
• Children (6-12 years): 2.5ml via nebulizer 3-4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 10ml (2 nebules).

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Maximum treatment duration: Use only during acute episodes unless medically supervised.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to atropine derivatives or components. Severe cardiac arrhythmias. Obstructive urinary conditions like bladder neck obstruction.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Risk-benefit assessment essential due to potential fetal effects. Excreted in breast milk – monitor infants for anticholinergic effects.

Special Precautions

• Monitor closely in cardiovascular disease or hyperthyroidism
• Use cautiously with narrow-angle glaucoma or prostate enlargement
• Risk of hypokalemia with high doses

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May interact with beta-blockers or diuretics. Avoid concurrent use with other anticholinergic agents. Disclose all medications before use.

Store below 25°C in original packaging. Protect from light. Discard if solution appears cloudy or contains particles.
