Indications / Uses

PECOF Tablet is used for relieving bronchospasm and managing productive cough in respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma, and COPD. It helps loosen thick mucus for easier expectoration while relaxing airway muscles to reduce wheezing and chest tightness. The formulation also eases breathing difficulties during acute respiratory infections with excessive phlegm production.

Side Effects

PECOF Tablet common side effects include: tremors, nervousness, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Less frequently, it may cause dizziness, diarrhea, or mild abdominal discomfort. Rarely, increased heart rate or allergic skin reactions may occur in sensitive individuals.

Directions and Dosage

  • Adults (18+ years): 1 tablet 3 times daily. Maximum: 4 tablets (8mg Salbutamol / 32mg Bromhexine / 400mg Guaifenesin) in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 12. Maximum treatment duration: 5-7 days unless otherwise directed. Take after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

Contraindications

Avoid with known hypersensitivity to any component. Contraindicated in severe cardiac disorders, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, and active peptic ulcers. Not recommended during acute asthma attacks requiring emergency care.

  • Use cautiously in patients with hypertension, diabetes, or seizure disorders

Is it safe to take it with other medications?
