Indications / Uses
FLUIMUCIL Acetylcysteine is used as a mucolytic, which helps to loosen and thin mucus in the airways. It is often used to help clear congestion in conditions such as bronchitis, emphysema, and cystic fibrosis. This medication makes it easier to cough up phlegm. It is important to use this medication as directed.
Side-effects
FLUIMUCIL Acetylcysteine common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some individuals may also experience stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth) or rhinorrhea (runny nose). Less common side effects include bronchospasm (tightening of the airways).
Dosage / Direction
The usual dosage of FLUIMUCIL:
Adults: 1 sachet of Acetylcysteine 200 mg or 2 sachets of Acetylcysteine 100mg 2-3 times a day.
For the prevention of exacerbation, the use of Fluimucil Acetylcysteine 200 mg sachet is recommended.
Children: 1 sachet of Acetylcysteine 100mg, 2 to 4 times a day, according to age.
The duration of treatment should be 5 to 10 days in the acute phase. It may be continued in the chronic state for several months according to the advice of the physician.
Fluimucil is contraindicated in children below 2 years of age.

Contraindications
