Why is Acetylcysteine necessary?
Acetylcysteine is utilized alongside other medications to treat respiratory issues characterized by dense and sticky lung mucus. It thins mucus consistency, aiding easier expulsion through coughing. It may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How to administer Acetylcysteine?
Follow your doctor's instructions precisely or adhere to the label guidelines. Take it with or after food consistently each day. Available as effervescent tablets or granules for oral solution, dissolve them in water and consume immediately. Dosage and duration will be determined by your doctor based on your condition's severity.

Adults: 1 sachet of Acetylcysteine (Fluimucil) 200 mg or 2 sachets of Acetylcysteine (Fluimucil) 100 mg 2-3 times a day.
For the prevention of exacerbation, the use of Acetylcysteine (Fluimucil) 200 mg sachet is recommended.
Children: 1 sachet of Acetylcysteine (Fluimucil) 100 mg, 2 to 4 times a day, according to age.
The duration of treatment should be 5 to 10 days in the acute phase. It may be continued in the chronic state for several months according to the advice of the physician.
Acetylcysteine (Fluimucil) is contraindicated in children below 2 years of age.
