Indications / Uses

DYVENT Guaifenesin / Salbutamol Syrup is used for relieving chest congestion and bronchospasm in respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma, and COPD. It helps loosen mucus from airways while relaxing bronchial muscles to ease breathing difficulties. This combination is effective for symptomatic treatment of productive cough and wheezing associated with acute respiratory infections.

Formulation / Ingredients
DYVENT Guaifenesin / Salbutamol Syrup contains: Guaifenesin 50mg + Salbutamol 1mg per 5mL.

Side Effects

DYVENT Guaifenesin / Salbutamol Syrup common side effects include tremors, headache, nausea, and palpitations. Less frequently, it may cause muscle cramps, dizziness, or gastrointestinal discomfort. These effects are typically mild and transient, resolving with continued use.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and adolescents (12+ years): 10mL (2 teaspoonfuls) 3-4 times daily. Maximum: 40mL/24 hours.
• Children 6-12 years: 5mL (1 teaspoonful) 3-4 times daily. Maximum: 20mL/24 hours.
• Children 2-5 years: 2.5mL (½ teaspoonful) 3 times daily. Maximum: 7.5mL/24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 5 days unless directed otherwise. Administer with adequate fluid intake.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to sympathomimetics or guaifenesin
• Tachyarrhythmias or severe cardiac disease

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Risk-benefit assessment required during pregnancy
• Components excreted in breast milk; avoid during lactation

Special Precautions

• Use cautiously in cardiovascular disorders or hypertension
• Monitor for signs of hypokalemia with high doses
• Diabetes patients: May affect blood glucose control
