This inhaler is suitable for acute symptom management and prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm.

Side Effects

Bronchosar Salbutamol 100mcg Inhaler common side effects include: tremors, headache, tachycardia, and muscle cramps. Less frequently, palpitations, nervousness, and throat irritation may occur. Severe reactions like paradoxical bronchospasm or hypokalemia require immediate discontinuation.

Directions and Dosage

  • Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 1–2 puffs every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum: 8 puffs daily.
  • Children (4–11 years): 1 puff every 4–6 hours as needed. Maximum: 4 puffs daily.

Not recommended for children under 4. Maximum treatment duration: Continuous use beyond 48 hours without medical supervision is not advised.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or any component. Severe tachycardia or arrhythmias. Not for premature labor management or non-asthmatic conditions.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use only if potential benefit justifies risk. May inhibit uterine contractions. Excreted in breast milk—monitor infants for irritability or tachycardia.

Special Precautions

  • Use cautiously in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism.
  • Monitor for worsening bronchospasm or decreased effectiveness.
  • Avoid excessive use; may increase risk of adverse effects.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Concurrent use with beta-blockers may antagonize effects. Diuretics may increase hypokalemia risk. Other sympathomimetics may amplify cardiovascular effects.

Store at room temperature (15–30°C). Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not puncture or expose to flames.
