Side Effects
Bioxal Salbutamol 2mg common side effects include: tremors, headaches, and tachycardia. Less frequently, muscle cramps, palpitations, and restlessness may occur. Hypersensitivity reactions such as angioedema or bronchospasm require immediate discontinuation.
Directions and Dosage
- Adults and adolescents (12+ years): 1 tablet up to 4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 8mg (4 tablets).
- Children (6-11 years): ½ tablet (1mg) 3-4 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 4mg (2 tablets).
- Children (2-5 years): Not recommended for oral tablet use without medical supervision.
Not recommended for children under 2. Maximum treatment duration: Continuous use requires medical evaluation after 1 week.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or any component. Severe tachycardia or arrhythmias. Uncontrolled hyperthyroidism. Use with non-selective beta-blockers is contraindicated.
