Asmalin Salbutamol Syrup is used for relieving bronchospasm in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps improve breathing by relaxing airway muscles during acute episodes or for preventive management in reversible airway obstruction.

Side Effects
Asmalin Salbutamol Syrup common side effects include: tremors, headache, rapid heartbeat, throat irritation, and muscle cramps. Rare but serious reactions may include severe dizziness, chest pain, or allergic reactions such as rash or swelling.
Directions and Dosage
- Adults and adolescents (12+ years): 10mL (4mg) every 6-8 hours. Max 32mg (80mL) daily.
- Children 6–12 years: 5mL (2mg) 3-4 times daily. Max 8mg (20mL) daily.
- Children 2–5 years: 2.5mL (1mg) 3-4 times daily. Max 4mg (10mL) daily.
Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless directed otherwise.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to active components, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, or severe cardiac arrhythmias. Avoid in cases of tachycardia or pre-existing cardiovascular conditions.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Use only if clearly necessary. Monitor for uterine contractions or fetal distress during pregnancy.
Special Precautions
- Use cautiously in patients with diabetes, hypertension, or epilepsy.
- Avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
