Indications / Uses

ASMALIN Salbutamol Nebule is used for relieving bronchospasm in conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by relaxing airway muscles to improve breathing during acute episodes or preventive management.

Formulation / Ingredients
ASMALIN Salbutamol Nebule contains: Salbutamol sulfate 2.5mg per 2.5mL nebule.

Side Effects

ASMALIN Salbutamol Nebule common side effects include: tremors, headache, rapid heartbeat, muscle cramps, and throat irritation. Rare but severe reactions may include chest pain, irregular heart rhythms, or allergic reactions like rash or swelling.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and adolescents (12+ years): 2.5–5mg (1–2 nebules) every 4–6 hours as needed. Max 8 nebules (20mg) daily.
• Children (2–12 years): 2.5mg (1 nebule) every 4–6 hours. Max 4 nebules (10mg) daily.

Not recommended for infants under 2 years without medical approval. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless directed otherwise.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active ingredients or sulfites. Avoid in uncontrolled hyperthyroidism or severe cardiac arrhythmias.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use only if clearly needed. Monitor for uterine contractions or fetal distress.

Special Precautions

• Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or epilepsy.
• Monitor potassium levels during prolonged use.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Avoid concurrent use with beta-blockers or non-potassium-sparing diuretics. May interact with other sympathomimetic agents.
