Asfrenon-Gf Salbutamol / Guaifenesin Syrup is used for relieving bronchospasm and improving mucus clearance in respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It combines a bronchodilator to open airways and an expectorant to loosen chest congestion, facilitating easier breathing. This formulation is suitable for managing productive coughs and reversible airway obstruction in pediatric patients aged 2 years and older.

Side Effects
Asfrenon-Gf Salbutamol / Guaifenesin Syrup common side effects include: tremors, nausea, headache, rapid heartbeat, and nervousness. Less frequently, throat irritation, dizziness, or mild gastrointestinal discomfort may occur. Discontinue use immediately if severe allergic reactions (e.g., rash, swelling) or breathing difficulties develop.
Directions and Dosage
- Adults & Adolescents (12+ years): 5–10mL (1–2mg salbutamol) every 6–8 hours. Max daily dose: 32mg salbutamol.
- Children 6–12 years: 2.5–5mL (0.5–1mg salbutamol) every 6–8 hours. Max daily dose: 16mg salbutamol.
- Children 2–6 years: 1.25–2.5mL (0.25–0.5mg salbutamol) every 6–8 hours. Max daily dose: 8mg salbutamol.
Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless medically advised.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to salbutamol, guaifenesin, or syrup components. Avoid in cases of severe cardiac arrhythmias, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, or peptic ulcer disease.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Use only if potential benefits justify fetal risks. Limited data exist on guaifenesin excretion in breast milk; caution advised during lactation.
Special Precautions
