Indications / Uses

ACC 600mg is used for thinning thick mucus in respiratory conditions such as chronic bronchitis, COPD, or cystic fibrosis. It helps clear airways by breaking down phlegm, making coughing more productive. It may also support lung function in cases of excessive mucus production.

ACC 600mg contains: Acetylcysteine 600mg.

Side Effects

ACC 600mg common side effects include mild nausea, vomiting, or heartburn. Rarely, allergic reactions like skin rash or breathing difficulties may occur. Discontinue use if tinnitus or severe gastrointestinal irritation develops.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18+ years): Dissolve 1 tablet in water daily. Maximum daily dose: 1 tablet.

Not recommended for children under 18. Do not exceed recommended dosage. Maximum treatment duration: 10 days unless otherwise advised.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine. Avoid use in patients with active peptic ulcers or severe hepatic impairment.

Special Precautions

• Use cautiously in asthma patients due to risk of bronchospasm.
• Monitor for gastric irritation in sensitive individuals.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May interact with nitroglycerin (increased vasodilation) or certain antibiotics. Avoid concurrent use with antitussives. Maintain a 2-hour gap between doses of other medications.

How should I store it?

Store below 30°C in original packaging. Keep dry and protect from light. Discard dissolved solution immediately after use.
