Indications/Uses
Treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and painful spastic states of distal enteric tract.
Dosage/Direction for Use
One tablet 2-3 times a day.
Overdosage
In the animal, otilonium bromide has shown to be virtually devoid of toxicity. Accordingly, no particular problems should arise in the human in relation to recommended. In case of overdose, a possible symptomatic and support therapy is recommended.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to otilonium bromide or any of the excipients of Spasmomen.
Special Precautions
Patients with glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, pyloric stenosis.
Spasmomen contains lactose and is therefore not suitable for subjects with lactase deficiency, galactosemia or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.
Effects on the Ability to Drive or Operate Machinery: No effects on the capacity to drive vehicles and use machines are known to date.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Although no embryotoxic, teratogenic or mutagenic effects on animals have been reported, as with all medicinal products, its use during pregnancy and lactation should be limited to specific cases of need and under direct medical supervision.
