SITAGLIMIN Sitagliptin / Metformin 50 / 500 is used for managing high blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control. The combination is prescribed when blood sugar is not adequately controlled with maximal tolerated amounts of Metformin alone, or for those already using Sitagliptin and Metformin as separate agents. It may also be used in triple combination therapy with a sulfonylurea or a thiazolidinedione.
