What is this medicine used for?
For the short-term and maintenance treatment of the following conditions:
Duodenal Ulcer
Gastric Ulcer
Stomal Ulcer
Reflux Esophagitis
Erosive Esophagitis (EE)
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome (ZES)
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)- induced gastric and duodenal ulcers
Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) associated gastric and duodenal ulcers.
How much and how often should you use this medicine?
Lansoprazole should be taken orally, preferably in the morning, 30 minutes before meals.

Contraindications
- Patients who are hypersensitive to lansoprazole, other proton pump inhibitor (PPIs) or to any component of the product.
- Patients who are receiving atazanavir sulfate
Warnings and Precautions
Some warnings and precautions related to Lansoprazole are the following:
-Gastric Malignancy
-Acute Interstitial Nephritis
-Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B) deficiency
-Clostridium difficile-Associated diarrhea
-Bone Fracture
-Hypomagnesemia
-H.pylori Eradication and Compliance
-Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (SCLE)
-Effects on ability to drive and use machines
Undesirable Effects:
The most frequently reported adverse effects with lansoprazole include diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, headache dizziness, vomiting, flatulence, dry mouth or throat, urticaria, itching, rash, and fatigue
