OCUPER Timolol 0.5% Eye Drops 5mL is used for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in various conditions. It is primarily indicated for patients with ocular hypertension or chronic open-angle glaucoma. Additionally, it can be used to lower eye pressure in aphakic patients and those with secondary glaucoma.

Side Effects
OCUPER Timolol 0.5% Eye Drops 5mL common side effects include: ocular irritation, blurred vision, burning or stinging sensations, and dry eyes. Some users may experience systemic effects such as bradycardia, hypotension, or headache. Redness of the conjunctiva and decreased corneal sensitivity are also frequently reported during treatment.
Directions and Dosage
- Adults (18+ years): 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 2 times daily. If intraocular pressure is maintained, dosage may be reduced to 1 drop once daily.
- Adolescents and Children: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 2 times daily. Use the lowest effective concentration available.
Not recommended for infants under 1 year. Maximum daily dosage: 2 drops per eye. Duration of treatment is typically long-term as determined by clinical response.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active component. History of bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Sinus bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, overt cardiac failure, or cardiogenic shock.
Special Precautions
- Monitor for respiratory or cardiac reactions due to systemic absorption.
- Caution is advised for those with diabetes as it may mask signs of acute hypoglycemia.
- Remove contact lenses before application and wait 15 minutes before reinsertion.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Potentiation of effects may occur when used with oral beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, or catecholamine-depleting drugs. Combined use with epinephrine may occasionally result in pupillary dilation.
How should I store it?
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protect from light. Use within 30 days after opening.
