Indications/Uses

Substitute for tear fluid for use in cases of inadequate tear production and for symptomatic treatment of 'dry eye' conditions.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Special Precautions

Contact lenses should be removed prior administration, and may be inserted again 30 minutes after Lipolin has been instilled. If the patient accidentally use a larger dose of Lipolin than recommended, this may cause some blurring of vision, but this will soon subside.
Effects on the Ability to Drive and Use Machines: Even when used as indicated, Lipolin may impair visual acuity for about five (5) minutes due to the formation of streaks after gel application, and patients should exercise caution when driving vehicles or operating machinery.

Use In Pregnancy & Lactation

There is no experience regarding the safety of Lipolin in human pregnancy and lactation. Although there is no theoretical risk, as a matter of principle, medicinal products should not be used during pregnancy and lactation unless a physician has carefully considered all potential risks and benefits.

Adverse Reactions

Blurred vision or slight stinging, irritation & itching of the eye.

Drug Interactions

If Lipolin Ophthalmic Gel is used at the same time with other eye drops/eye ointment, there should be an application time interval of approx. 5 minutes between use of such other medications and Lipolin Ophthalmic Gel should always be the last medication to be applied.

Caution For Usage

Special Remarks: Discard any remaining Ophthalmic Gel within 28 days after opening the container.

Storage

Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.

Action

Properties: Lipolin is a liquid gel. It is easy and comfortable to use, when following the instructions for instillation. Due to its high viscosity; Lipolin Ophthalmic Gel is particularly suitable for the treatment of severe dry eye symptoms. Lipolin forms a protective film, which keeps the surface of the eye moist for a long time. Even in severe cases, only relatively few applications (4-5 per day) should sufficient to provide relief and bring about improvement. Lipolin Ophthalmic Gel is very well tolerated and has a pleasantly cooling effect; it can be used more frequently, as required.
