Indications / Uses

ERECFIL Sildenafil 100mg is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. It enhances blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, facilitating achievement and maintenance of erection. This medication is also prescribed for pulmonary arterial hypertension under different dosing regimens.

ERECFIL Sildenafil 100mg contains: Sildenafil Citrate equivalent to Sildenafil 100mg.

Side Effects

ERECFIL Sildenafil 100mg common side effects include: headache, facial flushing, nasal congestion, heartburn, and visual disturbances (such as blue-tinted vision). Less frequently reported effects include dizziness, muscle aches, and stomach discomfort. Serious cardiovascular events may occur in predisposed individuals.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18-65 years): 50mg approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. May be increased to 100mg or decreased to 25mg based on efficacy and tolerance. Maximum: 1 dose per 24 hours.
• Adults >65 years: Consider starting with 25mg dose.

Not recommended for individuals below 18 years. Maximum dosing frequency: once daily. Take at least 2 hours after high-fat meals for optimal absorption.

Contraindications

Concurrent use of nitrates (e.g., isosorbide mononitrate) or guanylate cyclase stimulators. Severe hepatic impairment, recent stroke or myocardial infarction, hereditary retinal disorders (retinitis pigmentosa), and hypotension.

• Caution with anatomical penile deformities or conditions predisposing to priapism
• Avoid concurrent use with other erectile dysfunction treatments

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Absolutely avoid nitrates due to potentially life-threatening hypotension. Use caution with alpha-blockers, protease inhibitors, and CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., erythromycin) which may increase concentrations.
