Description

Indications/Uses

Certain states of transient fatigue in adults >15 years.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adults: 2-3 tablets a day. Tablets should be swallowed whole with a large glass of water, dividing the doses between the morning and midday meals.
Duration of treatment is limited to 4 weeks.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Galactosemia or deficit in lactase.
Hypersensitivity to sulbutiamine or to any of the excipients of Arcalion.

Special Precautions

Persistent symptoms >4 wk. Pregnancy & lactation.
Due to the presence of lactose, Arcalion should not be used in the case of galactosemia, the syndrome of malabsorption of glucose and galactose or a deficit in lactase (rare metabolic diseases).
To avoid possible interactions between several drugs, always inform the physician or pharmacist if the patient is taking other medication.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: Arcalion should generally be avoided during pregnancy and lactation.
If patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, always seek the advice of physician or pharmacist before taking Arcalion.

Adverse Reactions

Possibility of skin allergy, digestive disorders, agitation, headaches, tremor and malaise.
Due to the presence of sunset yellow FCF (E110) aluminium lake, there is a risk of allergic reactions.
