It is typically prescribed for adults whose blood pressure remains insufficiently managed despite prior treatment with either amlodipine or valsartan as a single medication. This fixed-dose combination can also be considered as an initial treatment when multiple blood pressure-lowering drugs are deemed necessary to achieve target goals.

Side Effects
VALCAMP Amlodipine / Valsartan 5 / 160 common side effects include: peripheral swelling, which often presents as noticeable puffiness in the ankles or feet, and dizziness. Other frequent effects are feeling tired or weak (fatigue/asthenia), headache, and symptoms similar to a common cold, such as nasal congestion or sore throat. Directions and Dosage
- Dosage for Adults (18+ years): The usual recommended starting and maintenance dose is 1 tablet once daily.

- Do not exceed the maximum daily dose equivalent to 10 mg of the first component and 320 mg of the second component.

Contraindications

It is also not suitable for individuals with severe liver problems, conditions where bile flow is blocked, or severe kidney impairment. Simultaneous use with products containing aliskiren is strictly avoided in individuals who have diabetes.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
The product can cause injury or death to the unborn baby, particularly if taken during the last two trimesters. If pregnancy is discovered, use should be stopped as soon as possible. It is generally advised not to use this product while providing nourishment to an infant due to the potential passage of its components.
Special Precautions

Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Concurrent use with potassium supplements or diuretics that conserve potassium can raise blood potassium levels. Products that block the renin-angiotensin system should generally be avoided. The blood pressure lowering effect may be reduced when taken with certain anti-inflammatory products.
