Indications / Uses of TRIOXO MR Trimetazidine 35mg Tablet
This medicine is intended for use in adults who have angina (chest pain from heart disease). It's used with other medicines to treat angina. It helps protect heart cells when there's not enough oxygen during an angina attack.
What are the side-effects of TRIOXO MR Trimetazidine 35mg Tablet?
Just like with all medications, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.
Common side effects

- diarrhea

Rare side effects
- fast or irregular heartbeats (palpitations)
- extra heartbeats

Dosage / Direction for Use of TRIOXO MR Trimetazidine 35mg Tablet
Adult
Take one 35mg tablet of Trimetazidine twice daily with meals, in the morning and evening. Swallow the tablets whole; do not chew them.
Patients with Kidney Disease and Elderly
If you have kidney problems or are over 75 years old, your doctor may adjust the dose of Trimetazidine 35mg Tablet. However, for patients with severe kidney disease, this medication is not recommended.
Children
Not recommended for children.

Contraindications
Do not take Trimetazidine if:

- You have severe kidney problems.
Special Precautions
Before taking Trimetazidine, inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- closed-angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
- mild to moderate kidney disease
Trimetazidine does not cure angina attacks and should not be used for unstable angina or heart attacks. If you have an angina attack, inform your doctor right away for reassessment. It may cause or worsen symptoms like trembling, rigid posture, slow movements, and an unsteady walk in elderly patients. Report any such symptoms to your doctor promptly for evaluation and potential adjustment of treatment.
