It works as a metabolic agent, protecting heart cells from the effects of ischemia (lack of oxygen). Side Effects

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults (18+ years): 35 mg taken twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening.
• Dosage for Patients with Moderate Kidney Impairment: A lower dose of 35 mg taken once daily is typically advised.

The maximum daily dosage is generally 70 mg. This medication is not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age due to insufficient data on efficacy and safety.

Contraindications
