AMLOTHIN Amlodipine 10mg is used for the management of high blood pressure, a condition known as hypertension, in adults and children 6 years of age and older. It is also indicated for the symptomatic treatment of chronic stable angina (long-term chest pain) and vasospastic angina, also called Prinzmetal’s angina. This medication functions by relaxing the blood vessels, which allows blood to flow more easily throughout the body and lessens the workload on the heart. It can also help to reduce the risk of hospitalization for angina and the need for coronary revascularization procedures in patients with coronary artery disease.
